Max Van Arnem recently joined the Rasa Libre ranks, so the company put out a introduction part for him that’s certainly a warm welcome. Max is quite clearly a champion of the recent trend in skating to dial back down to more basic tricks as opposed to insane Xbox combos — and it’s quite easy to watch him take out entire downhill blocks with a bunch of wallrides and quick ollies.

I particularly enjoyed this part because it’s full of lines, lots of simple street riding, hill bombing, and cruising. You can tell the dude is really enjoying being out on his board, and even after he gets a proper clip he just keeps going for more. There are plenty of pros who could take a few cues from Max’s approach to filming here. Don’t you remember when skateboarding used to be fun?
